New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and there are so many ways to celebrate. Below are some great nearby locations to see fireworks!

Parramatta

Join the party in Parramatta Park on New Year’s Eve with fireworks and a free concert headlined by Sneaky Sound System.Farewell 2023 in Parramatta Park with a FREE concert headlined by ARIA award-winning band Sneaky Sound System, a fantastic line-up of family-friendly activities, and a spectacular firework display.

Grab your picnic blanket and pick a spot to relax with one of the best views in the Park of the amazing concert and fireworks spectacular.

Meadowbank New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display

Stay local for this New Year’s Eve and come down to Meadowbank Park for family-friendly 9pm fireworks.

Bring your own picnic or purchase takeaway from one of the many local restaurants and enjoy the fireworks spectacular!

Darling Harbour, Barangaroo & The Rocks

Darling Harbour, Barangaroo and The Rocks will be welcoming thousands for free flame and fireworks at 9pm and midnight. With toilets, food and free entry, it’s the family-friendly place to welcome in 2024.

No special spots or reservations, it’s first-come, first-served. We’ll make sure it’s safe with capacity limits. Once a spot’s full, it’s closed, so come early! No pass outs.

Manns Point – Prospect Street, Greenwich

A family-friendly site with views over Darling Harbour and Barangaroo and obstructed views of Sydney Harbour Bridge. While there is no BYO alcohol, it would be wise to BYO food and drink. There are toilets nearby.

  • Opens at 1pm

Dunlop Reserve – Roseby St, Drummoyne

  • Located near Birkenhead Point, this lovely grassy area has some shade, harbour views and it’s accessible.
  • It’s an alcohol-free site.

Nield Park – Henley Marine Dr, Five Dock

  • A less busy option for NYE is Neild Park, Five Dock. Although you won’t be able to see the Harbour Bridge, you can see the city skyline all lit up.
  • There is ample street parking, toilets nearby and play equipment to keep the kids entertained until the 9pm fireworks.
  • Bring a picnic.
  • This venue is an alcohol-free space.

Balmain and Birchgrove

Balmain and Birchgrove are great areas for families and have really good views. There will be numerous road closures from 3pm onwards, so check local info. All parks and reserves in the Balmain peninsula are free, have toilets and are designated as alcohol-free areas.
