Macquarie Shopping Centre

Finding Dory Installation – an interactive underwater adventure that will bring Dory to life! 11th – 16th July, 11am – 2pm daily.

Kids in the Kitchen – kids make pasta from scratch! 5th – 8th July 45min classes. Book tickets ($15) here 

Snowballs Learn to Skate Program – 1/2 hour lessons between 9am – 11am, Monday to Friday (Ages 4+). You can book in person at Macquarie Ice Rink or by calling 9888 1100

Christ Church Gladesville are running a two day programme for school children (K-6) on 5th and 6th July. The programme is aimed at introducing children to Jesus Christ. Activities include drama, singing, bible talk, small group time, active games, thinking games, making things and other creative activities. More details can be found here.

Soccer Kickstart run a soccer holiday clinic at various locations in the area, including Ryde Aquatic Centre and North Ryde, and on various days in the school holidays. Catering for ages 4-12 years, prices range from $70-$160. Further details and booking information can be found here.

Cool Yule at Darling Harbour

Darling Harbour is once again home to the Cool Yule Festival. Go for a skate around the real ice skating rink (Penguin pushers and lessons available for little ones and beginners) or see the experts at play in the daily show at 12:45pm. Take a journey through the Frozen Forest with free daily interactive storytelling or grab your mittens and have a snowball fight in the Snow Pitt (ticketed). At night the Darling Harbour Ferris Wheel glows blue to mark the occasion.

Parramatta Winterlight Festival

There is something for all the family from ice skating, to breathtaking shows and a magical snow flake garden. Rides, games, relaxing and outdoor dining round out this fantastic fun! More info here!

Kids in the Park, Sydney Olympic Park

Running since 2004, Kids in the Park consists of a range of activities and events, some free, and there are some great options for $25 or less. Did we mention there are over 60 activities to choose from? A summary of our favourites are below:

Sand Art –  1.5 hours each session, $15 per child on the 7th July. Kids get the chance to decorate drawings on paper with coloured sands. It allows your child to work with texture, colour and imagination. The best part is they create something they can take home. Find out more here.

Parks – all days & Free! Sydney Olympic Park has a great selection of parks – all with different themes, play equipment and settings. We recently wrote a park spotlight on Bicenntenial Park which you can read here. For a list of other parks, check them out here and make a morning of one (or two!)

All Day Aquatic Centre Sports Day – on weekdays for both school holiday weeks, $56/day. Kids get the chance to play heaps of different sports during their day at the aquatic centre including basketball, dance, obstacle courses, sports clinics and more (each day allows a swim session too). Learn more here.

Disney On Ice | 13-16 July (various times) | tickets from $32 each

This year the magic that is Disney on Ice is showcasing Frozen which has many little people excited (ok and maybe some adults too). Along with Frozen, this years show also presents The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel (Tangled) and Beauty and the Beast. More info here

Rhodes Waterside

Go Pony will be returning to the centre from Saturday 2 July – Sunday 10 July located in the Food Court. The activity will cost $7 for a 10 minute ride or a day pass can be purchased for $10.

Magic Movie day will kick off at 9.30am on Wednesday 13 July with a magic show from Joey Presto, followed by a screening of Ice Age: Collision Course at Reading Cinemas. Tickets c

Goosebumps Immersive Zone will be occurring for the very first time from Monday 11 July – Friday 15 July! Bring the kids along for ‘gnome throwing’ games, mask decorating, storytime and more! This activity will be free and located on the Ground Floor near Target.

Top Ryde Shopping Centre

Dry Skating – 16th June to 17th July, 10am – 4pm, located on LG2 near Kmart. Enjoy FREE dry skating for the kids – cute little penguins for kids new to ice skating and the best part, no melting ice so no wet clothes!

Ice Sculptures – 3rd, 10th and 17th July. Be there when the ice melts and you could grab a Gift Card! Line up behind us for this one! The Ice Sculptures will be set up on LG2 on three separate dates to increase your chance of winning.
