Waterloo Park, Marsfield

Waterloo Park is a great spot that has something for every member of the family from the playground, to the basketball court to the exercises equipment. We regularly see joggers and people pushing prams enjoying the paths around the sports field and of course there are plenty of kids enjoying the play equipment too.

You’ll be pleased to read that Waterloo Park is situated right next to Trafalgar Place shops, meaning it’s a great option for when you want to lunch first or grab a coffee to go (which is always, right..!).

The playground has two play area, one aimed at younger children (1-4 years old) and the other aimed at older children (up to 8 or 9). We love that they both have softfall ground!

The play area for younger children isn’t fenced but it is positioned safely away from the road and cark park. The equipment includes:

  • swings (inclduding a baby swing)
  • a slide
  • a rocker
  • musical xylophone
  • spiral beads

The older kids section has

  • a rope climbing structure
  • a pole spinner

This park would be a good one to host a party as it has BBQs, picnic shelters, a filtered water station and toilets close by plus plenty of space for everyone. Just watch out for cyclists and joggers zooming past through the play area!
