Footy and Netball season may be coming to a close, but here are a few options to keep the kiddies actives over the long hot summer. Most will be registering in August so check out the corresponding websites for more details!
Diving Masters at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is a recreational springboard and platform diving club. It is designed to introduce adult novices and children to diving. It’s on every Thursday evening and Saturday morning all year round.
North Ryde RSL Rams is a Baseball Club that competes predominantly in the northern suburbs of Sydney. Junior teams are fielded in summer competition. Teams range from under 6yr non-competitive T ball through to under 16 year olds. There is also Macquarie Saints which competes in the Ryde Hawks Baseball League.
Ryde Parramatta Golf Club operate Junior Golf Development all year round during school term. Designed to introduce children aged between 5-16 years old to the foundations of golf along with familiarising them with the rules and etiquette of golf in a fun, relaxed and interactive environment.
Another option is Milo in2Cricket where kids will learn the basics of cricket and develop lots of other skills. Each week children will play game based activities that keep them active, have fun and learn about cricket.

Skating and Ice Hockey
Learn to Skate at Macquarie Ice Rink and The Learn to Skate Program have been designed for skaters from 4 years of age and all ability levels. Beginner’s ice hockey skills are in
cluded in Macquarie Ice Rink’s Learn to Skate Program on Saturday mornings. Novice level must be attained in the Learn to Skate Program before participating in this ice hockey program. The Kiddies Club runs in conjunction with Coffee Club and caters to pre-schoolers (2 to 5 years old).
The closest Nippers to the Ryde area is through Greenwich Baths.
Their Beach Safety program runs in two seasons from November through to March. The program includes a 30 minute class where beach familiarisation, activity and fun are the main goals. Registrations will open in September.
Ryde Community and Sports Centre (RCSC) is a recent addition to the community of Ryde, managed by the YMCA in partnership with the City of Ryde. The Centre is located in the vicinities of the well-known ELS Hall Park precinct.
