Larry Bolitho Reserve, Carlingford

posted in: Life, Parks & Playgrounds | 0

Larry Bolitho Reserve in Carlingford is a great park for a few reasons, but what we love most is that it has a huge fenced grassy area so kids can run around to their heart’s content in the safety of the gates!

Other bonuses of this great little playground include synthetic grass flooring under the play equipment, a shade sail, a little path for scootering and a bubbler. Also of great importance, there are plenty of seats and beautiful sandstone rocks for adults to sit on!

As for equipment, you’ll find:

  • swings, both regular and bucket
  • for the budding climbers, there is a tunnel to go through and a fireman’s pole to escape on
  • a fun wobbly bridge
  • double slide
  • coloured sliding balls for the little babies/toddlers
  •  a “shop” underneath the play area that has a pretend calculator on the window (great for imaginary play!)

This is a great park for those with babies all the way up to kindy kids. The closest toilets are in Bunnings which is 150 metres away.

Getting There

Larry Bolitho Reserve is located on Post Office Street, Carlingford (near Bunnings). Parking is available on Young & Post Office Street but can sometimes be tricky to find.
