Mulhall Park, Chatswood West

posted in: Life, Parks & Playgrounds | 0

Mulhall Park is tucked away in Chatswood West down by the river. It is easily accessible if you go down Delhi Road at North Ryde and then turn right onto River Road just before the bridge.

Now for the description! Let’s start with the swings. Do you remember the black baby swings where you could fit 2 small kids in back to back? Kind of like a DIY tandem swing. Well, DIY no more. Mulhall Park has a proper tandem swing, which our kiddie crew road tested and gave a “two thumbs up” rating. An equally popular feature of the park was the voice tubes – the kids enjoyed yelling into the pipes for quite some time!!

At the base of the park you will find some logs for the kids to jump on and balance across. At the top of the park you will see an impressive setup including:

  • a double slide
  • rock climbing wall
  • rope wall
  • stairs with a cubby house underneath
  • rolling circles for the little kids
  • a ramp
  • a froggy bouncer
  • the aforementioned tandem swing plus the baby swing.

It does have the dreaded bark ground but you will be pleased to know that moving forward Ryde Council is phasing out bark ground and only installing soft fall ground.

In terms of accessibility, there is a footpath from the curb that winds around most of the park.

This is a great park – just gorgeous with its beautiful sandstone edges, and once the shade sail goes up it will be absolutely fantastic!

Getting There

Mullhall Park is located on River Avenue and parking can be found on surrounding streets.
