Melrose Park Playground, Melrose Park

posted in: Life, Parks & Playgrounds | 0

Melrose Park playground is medium sized playground in, funnily enough, Melrose Park. It features a beautiful wooden theme which can be a nice change to the brightly coloured plastic equipment.

It is a fun park, with great equipment that is best suited to children aged 2-9 years of age. As there are no shade sails it’s best to avoid this playground during the hottest parts of the day, especially given the metal bars and plastic slide. Having said that, there is a small water feature with pump & ‘water maze’ for the kids to cool off!

Melrose Park has two play areas, one for older kids and one for younger kids. For the older kids, there are ropes to climb and a log scramble which is fun and not seen at a lot of parks so this is something different!

There is also a swing set up with both a baby seat and normal swing. Kids can scooter/bike around along the path that runs alongside the playground as it forms part of the walking/jogging track by City of Ryde called Ryde River Walk. You can read more about that here.

Getting There

Melrose Park playground is located at 86 Lancaster Avenue, Melrose Park. Parking is available on Lancaster Avenue.
