7 Awesome Local Markets

posted in: Activities, Life | 0

If you enjoy a little wander around the markets on the weekend, you’re not alone! We have put together a list of our local markets for you to check out with your family.

Market By The River – Halvorsen Park, Ermington

1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, 9am to 2pm

This fantastic monthly food and artisan market is definitely worth a visit. Grab a bite to eat, check out the artisan and handmade stalls, or stock up on food to take home (honey, eggs, meats + lots more). The kids will have a ball both on the jumping castle and at the huge playground while parents sit back and enjoy the scenery. It’s set right on Parramatta river, so it’s very pretty scenery indeed! There is plenty of parking on surrounding streets – consider parking on Ryde side and walking along the pram/scooter friendly river – bonus points for meeting your step count for the day! Bring some friends and make a morning of it – on a sunny day, this will be the loveliest thing you do all weekend!
