Lions Park, West Ryde

posted in: Life, Parks & Playgrounds | 0

Even though it’s situated along Victoria Road, Lions Park could be easily missed as it is hidden behind rows of trees.

Once inside, kids will be entertained for hours with a great variety of equipment and activities. Lions Park is well laid out, spacious, flat and there’s a big grassy area for the kids to burn off energy. The scooter track will be sure to impress too!

The noise of the road isn’t as bad as you might expect and from the park, you can hardly see the road.

There’s loads of play equipment including:

  • a sandpit with equipment for moving sand
  • a climbing pyramid
  • a slide for toddlers
  • plenty of swings (seven to be exact!)
  • a scooter/bike track
  • a half basketball court

Also, and very importantly, there are:

  • toilets
  • tables and lots of seating
  • BBQ’s (2)
  • easy pram access

This means it would be a great place to host a party. Don’t be turned off by its location, it’s actually quite a nice setting once inside! We were was pleasantly surprised by this park and would definitely recommend it. Check out our rating below.

Getting There

The park is situated off Victoria Road. Entry is via Shaftsbury Road, which will lead you to a carpark with a number of unmetered car spots.
