Kissing Point Park, Putney

Located on the river near the ferry stop in Putney, this park is definitely noteworthy for a couple of reasons. Firstly, When a park’s feature is its water views, you’re off to a good start. While it’s not huge, Kissing Point Park has everything you could need really including

  • slide
  • swings
  • cubby’ house
  • sand
  • digger
  • seesaw
  • toilets
  • 3 covered table areas
  • a bbq
  • rather picturesque surrounds

Due to the fact that it has a BBQ, tables and toilets, families can regularly be found having get-togethers at Kissing Point park on the weekend. It would be a great place to have a kids party, however, it is important to consider the ages of the kids as the playground isn’t fenced.

Kissing Point Park also gets bonus points because:

  • there is a walking track around along the river which is very pretty, and it’s all pram friendly. The walking track forms part of the larger 12km Ryde River Walk, from Gladesville Bridge to Ryde Bridge. More on that here.

  • the ground is softfall not bark!

Getting there

Kissing point park is located off Waterview Street in Putney. Parking on weekdays may be tricky due to commuters parking for the ferry, but weekends are usually fine.
