Jim Walsh Park, Eastwood

posted in: Life, Parks & Playgrounds | 0

Jim Walsh Park in Eastwood is a bit of a hidden gem. It has so many wonderful features and facilities and we’re sure you’re going to love it. Aside from having plenty of grass for running around on there is also a little creek which runs through the park, all of which adds the beauty of Jim Walsh park.

Winding through the park is a path that is popular with runners, scooters, prams and bikes so don’t forget to bring them! And while you’re at it, bring a frisbee and soccer ball too, to make use of the fantastic open space.

In terms of play equipment, there is a spinning net, small climbing wall, a basket swing, slide and lots more! After the kids have worn themselves out you can visit “5-ways” shops (about 400m away) for coffee or lunch!

Regarding the creek, Council recently cleaned out the creek and laid new sandstone rocks so it is looking rather good, however, it is just deep enough that you’ll need to keep a close eye on the kids.

Jim Walsh park is perfect for play but also perfect for parties as it has BBQ facilities, several sheltered tables, toilet facilities (and not just any – it’s one of those fancy electronic door ones!) plus lots of space. and lots of natural shade from the trees.
