Hughes Park, Lane Cove West

posted in: Life, Parks & Playgrounds | 1

Located 10 minutes from Gladesville, Lane Cove West might be a bit further afield for some of us but this awesome find is definitely worth a visit. Hughes Park has so much to offer and caters to both young kids and older kids with various sections that will be sure to keep everyone happy.

The toddler area is fantastic and is, thankfully, is covered with a shade sail. Equipment includes:

  • a train with lots of carriages and things to do
  • little tunnels with butterflies
  • a few different types of swings
  • a slide

On the other side of the park is the older kids section and the equipment is great! It includes:

  • rock climbing
  • fireman’s pole
  • bridges
  • rope ladders
  • a huge slide (although as there isn’t a shade sail it gets hot at the peak of the day)
  • see-saw
  • spinning climbing frame

This park has 90% soft fall ground, benches for parents, gazebos with tables/chairs, BBQ’s, toilets and bubblers. You will also find adult exercise equipment, a grass area to kick a ball and a community veggie garden which is open every day – talk about wonderful!!

We think you’ll love this park, it pretty much covers every base and ticks every box – make sure to visit!
