Riverfest 2017 is a FREE fun event for the whole family!

Hosted this year by Cumberland Council together with the Parramatta River Catchment Group (PRCG), Riverfest is a key part of the PRCG’s ‘Our Living River’ initiative to make Parramatta River swimmable again by 2025.

The focus of this year’s event will be Cumberland Council’s community consultation around the masterplan to clean up Duck River.

The event will also feature a wide range of entertainment and activities, including:

• Launch of The Painted River art project
• Performances by the Pinks and other entertainers
• Appearance and autograph signing by players from the West Tigers
• Free guided cycling tours along Duck River (bicycles and helmets supplied)
• Jumping castle, face painting, kids’ arts and crafts, food and community stalls plus much more!

Q: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

A: Riverfest 2017 is a free, fun community event and people of all ages are welcome.

Q: What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Public Transport
Buses are available from Auburn, Burwood and Wiley Park stations. For routes and timetables visit: https://transportnsw.info/routes#/

Cyclists
Bicycle rack is available outside the Auburn Botanic Gardens.

Parking
Additional parking will be available on the day. Please follow the signage along Chiswick Road.

Q: What can I bring into the event?

A: You can bring along a picnic basket and rug. Some food will also be available to purchase. All Cumberland Council public facilities are alcohol-free zones. Alcohol is not permitted at this event.

Q: Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A: You do not have to bring your ticket to access the event. Registering for this event assists us with planning and catering.

Q: Can I update my registration information?

A: You can update your details any time until Wednesday, 9 August 2017.

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: In the event of heavy rain, Riverfest 2017 will be postponed to a future date. If you have registerd for this event through Eventbrite, you will be notified by email on Thursday, 10 August 2017.
