This Christmas, step inside Market City’s Christmas Infinity Rooms – three mind-blowing, multi-sensory and 100% Instagrammable spaces which will provide a festive experience that is truly out of this world!

Head to the Centre Court on Level 1 of Market City from 8 November to experience these magical illusions, including a mesmerising fluorescent Christmas vision and a magical reindeer forest encased in mirrored walls that allow you to gaze into infinity. Perfect for that Christmas-themed snap or to take you away from the hustle and bustle of shopping, this installation is sure to inspire and delight.

While you’re there, also be sure to head to level three and the newly completed 1909 Dining Precinct for a deluxe Asian feast from one of ten premier restaurants.

Cutler Parade playgroup is a friendly place for parents and carers to bring the kids each week. It runs on Mondays & Wednesdays. Fees are $30 per family a term.

North Ryde Coxs Road Playgroup

North Ryde School of Arts Community Centre (above the library) – 201 Cox’s Road, North Ryde

9.30am -11.30am during school term. All ages are welcome. The first two trial weeks are free. After that, you will be asked to become a member of Playgroup NSW and contribute $3 a week to cover costs.

10am – 11:45am during the school term. It is a music and movement group for children aged 2-5 years (younger siblings welcome) taught within a Christian context. The cost is $27 for the term for one child or $45 for 2 or more children ($3 per child per week/$5 per family per week).

Mainly Music, Epping

LifeWay Lutheran Church – 56 Norfolk Rd, Epping

10am – 12pm during the school term. Cost is $5 for one caregiver & one child. Additional children or adults are an extra $2 each (newborns – 18 months are free). The group is full but they welcome you to come along to one session for free and leave your details on the waitlist.

West Ryde Anglican Music and Play

10am – 11.30am during the school term. They sing, dance, play instruments, hear Bible stories, play, chat and have fun! There’s also a bible chat time that runs after the formal part of the program where parents are welcome to chat about the bible or hear Bible storytelling in Mandarin. All welcome, bring your own morning tea 🙂 The cost is $15 per term per family to cover craft supplies and to buy new equipment for the children.

Christmas in the Square, Sydney Olympic Park

Celebrate Christmas with us!

Join in the Christmas spirit with a nightly celebration in Jacaranda Square. Bring your colleagues, family, friends and neighbours to the Square from 21 November to 24 December to celebrate the festive season.

Each night from 6pm, there will be various activities and entertainment, an opportunity to connect with the local community and celebrate the season together. Then every half hour from sunset until 10pm, everyone can enjoy a little Christmas Magic, – a light projection that turns the Square into a magical light spectacular, sure to entertain any age group!

Make sure you don’t miss out on opening night, Thursday 21st November where Santa will drop by as well as some special guests! A night not to be missed!

From the 6th December, grab your last minute Christmas gifts and stocking fillers with the Christmas Pop Up Stalls open each night from 6pm.

Voices of Angels: Twelve Days of Christmas

Escape into a Christmas fantasy land with uplifting festive music performed by Sydney Children’s Choir in the heart of the city this December 16 & 17.

Performed over two nights, Voices of Angels is an uplifting journey through the twelve days of Christmas. The program pairs the days of the much-loved Christmas carol and their associated gifts with beautiful music from across the centuries.

Under the direction of Gondwana Choirs Associate Artistic Director Sam Allchurch for the first time, the Sydney Children’s Choir will perform the music of Benjamin Britten and William Mathias, alongside new music by Sally Whitwell and Joseph Twist and other adored Christmas songs.

Sydney Children’s Choir is joined by the Voices of Angels orchestra, led by Helena Rathbone.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Sydney Children’s Choir was founded as a single ensemble by Lyn Williams AM in 1989 and has grown to include more than 500 young people, comprising of performing choirs and training ensembles. The choir is known for its distinctive Australian choral sound, precision and discipline, honed through its world-renowned Choral Training Program.

Voices of Angels: Twelve Days of Christmas is presented by City Recital Hall and Gondwana Choirs.
