About Angelina Bonifacio

During the School Holidays, Angelina offers cooking classes for all ages from 5 to 12 years that are hands on and interactive. She is a parent herself and now grandmother.

Realising the need to teach children,  the next generation, a life skill, she commenced small hands on classes. Classes are held in a casual and fun and safe atmosphere in her modern home. These classes are enjoyed by all!

Angelina comes from an Italian background and is passionate about her traditions and culture handed down to her by her migrant parents.

Angelina has worked in business world but has always come back to her passion of food.  Working part-time in café’s and restaurants and a home baking business.  Her skills were taught to her by her own mother from a young age.

The recipes taught are authentic southern and Italian meals, desserts and biscuits. Some of them come straight from her handwritten recipe book of her late mothers own regional  receipes.  Angelina believes every receipe has a story and it should be told, eg, where did pizza come from?  What are the traditional Italian herbs used.  Where did the origin of homemade pasta come from?  What are the specialty dishes of the  regions of Italy.  Seasonal cooking and why.

The dining table is the heart of a home and brings family and friends together. She hopes that her students will enjoy cooking for years to come and celebrate, food, family and friends in their own homes.

Her lessons include take home receipes that the children can impress their own families with at the same time, practicing the skill and art of cooking and confidence with ingredients.

Her greatest pleasure is to hear parents feedback that their children are confident junior chefs and want to cook on the weekends for the family or that they aspire to be chefs and own their own restaurant one day.
