Sydney’s most inspiring day of ethical and compassionate living, the Cruelty Free Festival, is returning for 2017 filled with animal-loving entertainment, talks, food and a rescue dog photographic exhibition.
Presented by not-for-profit charity Animal Liberation, the Cruelty Free Festival will be held on Sunday 22 October at Sydney’s newest and most unique cultural venue, the Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve in Sydney’s CBD.
In its twelfth year, the Festival is hosting an array of VIP speakers and entertainers to enlighten and inspire attendees to make positive changes, that not only lead to better health, a cleaner environment but also help save animals from cruelty and exploitation.
“The Festival isn’t only for vegetarians or vegans, it’s a day for like-minded people to come together and learn more about how they can make simple choices in their daily lives that will have a huge impact on animal suffering,” says Jane Hooper, Event Manager.
“We like to create a holistic approach to cruelty-free living at the Festival, so our program also has a focus on the environment, waste-free living and health and wellness. It’s a one stop shop for ethical living.”
As well as a huge variety of live performances, speakers, a vegan gingerbread house demonstration, documentary film screening, and a children’s activities area, there will be close to 100 stalls selling delicious vegan food and drinks, cruelty free merchandise, cosmetics, fashion, and much more! A number of animal advocacy and rescue groups will also be on hand to talk to people about how they can help our furry, finned and feathered friends.
The Cruelty Free Festival is the perfect day out for anyone looking to start on their cruelty-free journey, those already living a cruelty-free lifestyle, or anyone who just wants a fun, family friendly outing!
