WHAT IS ELECTRONIC WASTE?
WHY SHOULD WE RECYCLE UNWANTED E-WASTE?
Australians are among the highest users of technology, and e-waste is one of the fastest growing types of waste. Every time e-waste is disposed of to landfill, valuable recyclable materials (such as copper and silver) are lost forever and toxic substances (such as lead and mercury) can leach into the environment.
HOW TO RECYCLE E-WASTE
E-waste cannot be recycled via the yellow lid recycling bin system. You can recycle e-waste through the following correct channels.
Details for the next Council e-waste drop-off day are:
Date: Sunday 19 May 2019
Time: 9am – 3pm
Location: City of Parramatta Rydalmere Operation Centre, 316 Victoria Road, Rydalmere (behind Bunnings and McDonalds)
