The Macquarie University Discovery Academy offers a range of exciting, hands-on activities on a huge range of scientific and creative topics through our Junior Science Academy (JSA) and Junior Creative Academy (JCA) holiday programs. Think dinosaurs, explosions, human biology, robotics, coding, painting, drawing and so much more！

15 April to 26 April^{* Excluding weekends and public holidays}Save the date: We run during every school holiday period, with new program timetables released one month before the end of term.

Our full-day classes (9:30-4 pm) will keep your kids entertained while building their passion and knowledge for science and expand their skills in the Arts.

Classes are designed to target particular year groups and align with NSW Syllabus outcomes. Your child will explore, experiment, and create, expanding their mind while having fun and meeting new friends. Select classes that suit your child’s age, interests and availability. The Ryde District Mums School Holiday Disco is BACK and it’s going to be spectacular! Kids – come dressed up and dance the afternoon away to awesome tunes by Bop till you Drop entertainment! There’ll even be prizes for best dressed!

Westside Vibe

Hornsby’s most loved local festival, Westside Vibe is returning on Friday 3 May, with a lineup of entertainment and international cuisine that promise an evening overflowing with rhythm, colour and the sensory delights.

This year’s Westside Vibe will again transform the area around Hornsby’s Dural Lane with striking decorations, food trucks, a licensed bar, face painting and kids’ activities, along with five hours of free live music.

Westside Vibe will come alive with music from a range of lively performers to get you dancing including Gang of Brothers, The Funky Monkeys and Voodoo Punch.

Alongside the entertainment and activities, taste buds will be set alight by international food from over 15 of Sydney’s best food trucks including Vietnamese Street Foods, Master Gozleme, Myme Express with Indian street food, Fritz’s Wieners with German sausages, and Piggy & Moo with gourmet burgers and loaded fries. There will be animal shaped fairy floss for the kids from PourSomeSugar, and Kubarz pop-up bar will serve delicious drinks, from beers to cocktails.
