Easter Egg Hunt Round Up

Depending on where around town you live, you may or may not have had a sprinkling of rain last Friday morning the 23rd March. At Memorial Park Meadowbank, where we were hosting our 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt, we did get rain!

Amazingly, and inspirationally, it didn’t appear to bother the families who came out in force to collect some eggs, jump in muddy puddles and enjoy a coffee. Donning gumboots, rain jackets and sometime umbrella’s (the rain was very fickle!), we carried on!

It was a nice reminder of how fun it can be to get out an about even when it’s a little damp – there’s still plenty of outdoor fun to be had and eggs to be found!

This year the Easter Egg Hunt is made possible by our awesome sponsors The Northern Centre, who work to support individuals and families to improve and develop parenting skills and to gain a deeper understanding of their role in their child and families life and Acre Woods Childcare, who have centres in Eastwood, Gladesville and Macquarie Park.

A big thank you, also, to Salvo’s The Community Coffee Van who fueled us with warm goodness all morning. Don’t you just LOVE that they are ZERO waste by way of their mugs, rubber bands and other nifty systems?

Here are some pictures from the day – click to enlarge the image. Until next year…Happy Easter!
