Sydney Basket Brigade Packing Day

Sydney Basket Brigade Packing Day
16/12/2017 - 16/12/2018 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Sydney Basket Brigade is gearing up to deliver more than 2,000 baskets filled with food and gifts to those in need across Sydney and needs your help to spread the festive cheer this year.

Sydney Basket Brigade’s Packing Day will be held on Saturday, 16 December 2017. This is a great activity for families to come and give back together to help wrap, pack and deliver our very special baskets. Check out this video to see what happens on this day of incredible community spirit.

To register to join in, just click here.

This year, Sydney Basket Brigade is running a new program – Basket Buddies. It aims to build a community of volunteers across Sydney who are willing to add a few extra (specific) items to their grocery shop each week to fill a basket for an individual or family in need. An unwrapped present for a child of any age is added too and a card with our special message. The baskets can be decorated with colour, paints, beads, ribbons, paper, and pictures to make them look and feel extra special and then dropped at collection points around North Sydney and Ryde on 2 and 3 December. It’s a great activity for everyone to get involved with!

You can find out everything you need to know about becoming a Basket Buddy here. To sign up and join the team of Basket Buddies, just click here! It couldn’t be easier.

Bring your family and friends along to help us with the next stage in restoring small bird habitat in Bedlam Bay, an important link in a habitat corridor along the lower Parramatta River.

Please wear closed shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Tools and gloves will be provided.
