These delicious gems are made with pureed pear and oat flour. Recipe by Everyday Champagne.

Traditional Teething Biscuits

These typical rusks are sweetened with a little Golden Syrup – perfect for an older baby Recipe by Kidspot.

The Vegan Alternative

Mama Natural has recipes for pumpkin, banana and apple options, based on an oat and coconut recipe.

The Celeb Option

I’m a huge fan of Michela Chiappa- host of Michela’s Tuscan Kitchen (watch on Lifestyle Food!) and has teamed up with her sisters to launch their new book “Baby at the Table”. Check out her recipe for rusks here!

Grain Free Teethers

Should baby need to avoid grains and/or gluten, Nurse Kate has developed a recipe for grain free teethers, here. There are quite a few ingredients- the first being Cassava flour which is available at Golden Banana, Top Ryde. Cassava flour is gluten, grain and nut free and is the most similar to wheat flour of all the GF flours. You can substitute 1:1 with regular wheat flour.

Thermomix Teethers

Of course we had to include one for the Thermi-mums out there! The Road to Loving My Thermomix has come up with 3 recipes. The first of which is round! Perfect for little hands.

Baby Mum Mum

Whilst not a homemade option, if your child suffers from allergies and you’re strapped for time, check out Baby Mum Mum. They are free from milk, peanuts, wheat, tree nuts, soy, shellfish, fish, sesame and eggs. They also have a new product for babies 8 months+ Hurrah!
